the
advice
line.

for future leaders of
the festival industry

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

The Advice Line is currently closed. The festival fields are calling, and our team must head to out to build events across the country and beyond!

In the meantime, anybody looking for some more information about careers in the industry can benefit from the below resources (recommended by the festival team):

SocialFIXT: An organisation that upskill, educate and empower through events and resources – ‘Fixing the employment gap for black & brown talent in the creative industry’.

Cre8ing Vision: Provide first hand insight into the music, sport and the creative industries through a series of seminars, workshops, internships placements and educational programmes.

Women in Live Music [WILM]: a European platform and online community for women working backstage in live music. The organisation is primarily looking to address the lack of women in the industry, but says ‘No change can be effective without support from everyone; so we welcome every gender to join us in our effort to ensure a balanced diversity for the future.’

NOWIE: The Network of Women in Events facilitate opportunities, both online and in reality, to meet other women working in the industry. NOWIE also offers a mentoring opportunity – pairing women in the early-to-mid stages of their career with an industry expert.

Good luck and we’ll speak to you soon!
