Junction 2

Background

LWE are London’s biggest underground event organisers, holding parties in unique and unusual locations across the capital and are exclusive music promoters at Tobacco Dock.

LWE’s first outdoor festival, Junction 2 was a perfect mix of unique location, high quality production and world class techno talent. Junction 2 has been hailed by many as the best festival of the summer.

Challenge

The Fair worked with LWE on Venue Sourcing, Licensing & Health & Safety Management.

The location meant that there was an enormous amount of stakeholder involvement;  from Highways England to Connect Plus, Carillion, TFL and British Waterways to name a few.

A lot of ground work was required even before the build could start.

Complex egress and fire route planning on the island site involving floating pontoon bridges.
