Boiler Room: London 2024

Background

The Fair has been working with globally renowned brand Boiler Room since 2019 – offering full scale festival production services as well as event operations and health and safety via our sister agency, We Are OPS.

Previous shows we have proudly produced include Boiler Room’s first-ever day festival at East London’s Three Mills Island, two one-day events at Burgess Park (one in May and one in September), and Boiler Room’s show in Miami, Florida.

In August 2024, The Fair produced Boiler Room’s largest ever outdoor music festival, with a 20,000 capacity one-day event.

The Boiler Room festivals at Burgess Park proved hugely popularity, so this time, the show was relocated at a larger site, Lee Valley Showground, enabling even more festival-goers to enjoy the party.

The event had an incredible line including Giggs, Skream & Benga, Sara Landry & I Hate Models. Boiler room also had multiple stage partners including Teletech, Club Heart Broken & Victory Lap.

Challenge

  • Train Cancellations: During egress, we experienced last minute train cancellations. We supported We Are Ops in managing the situation to ensure people got home safely.

  • New Site: This was Boiler Room’s first time at Lee Valley Showground, their largest venue yet! As a part of this, adjustments and redesigns were necessary to create an intimate atmosphere.

  • Stage Redesigns: Creating stage access, adding dance platforms, and building an in the round stage, creating the look and feel that Boiler Room are known for.
