Polygon Live LDN 2025

Background

Polygon Live LDN redefined the boundaries of live music festivals, hosting the UK’s largest open-air 360º spatial audio event from May 2-4, 2025, at Crystal Palace Park. The centrepiece of the event was a spectacular 360º dome that featured nearly 100 speakers, delivering immersive, panoramic soundscapes enhanced by responsive lighting.

Music fans enjoyed performances from a diverse lineup, including Tinariwen, Jon Hopkins, and Kiasmos. While the artists delivered awe-inspiring sets,

The Fair was brought in as the lead festival production company, responsible for site planning & design, procurement support, SAG attendance, and full on-site management.

While The Fair often works as sole production team, we are also able to support existing teams, as was the case with this event. We maintained great communication with Full Fat 360 and Polygon Productions at all times to ensure we were aligned with key decisions

Challenge

  • Complex site design: Bringing such an ambitious concept to life required expert festival site design and tight coordination. The location of our site, on the upper terraces, is listed as Grade II, and underground archaeology dating back to the 1850s from the original Crystal Palace gardens meant that infrastructure placement had to be accurately marked out and positioned so as not to damage the historic site.

  • High winds: High winds made traditional ground staking impossible in some areas. We implemented alternative solutions to keep the fencing secure while protecting the park grounds.

  • Weather fluctuations: We monitored heat, cold, and the threat of lightning, regularly reviewing conditions against our Weather Management Plans and updating staff on alert level changes.
