The Fair has been working with globally renowned brand Boiler Room since 2019 – offering full scale festival production services as well as event operations and health and safety via our sister agency, We Are OPS.
Previous shows we have proudly produced include the first-ever Boiler Room day festival at East London’s Three Mills Island, featuring the likes of Anz, Benji B and The Blessed Madonna on an electrifying lineup.
Fast forward to 2023, and after Boiler Room’s two-year hiatus from the London day show scene, we were challenged to deliver not one but three spectacular full-production events in both May and September. And our journey didn’t stopped there…
Building on a successful client partnership, our festival production and event operations teams were requested to take their expertise across the pond to Miami, Florida.
Suppliers: sourcing, connecting and liaising with suppliers overseas is naturally more complex to navigate. Our experience developing relationships with suppliers for RecFest USA, however, meant we knew how to manage overseas relationships in the most effective way ahead of arriving in Miami.
Laws and Legislation: understanding how laws differ country-to-country, and state-to-state, is a significant aspect of producing events in multiple territories. The team were, however, well versed in this aspect of production, and worked closely with a liaison contact to ensure we were in line with laws in Miami.
Audience platforms: Boiler Room is renowned for enabling audience members to dance in the immediate vicinity of the artist, ‘in the round’. Having delivered this format at Boiler Room shows in 2023, The Fair and OPS teams knew how to do this safely while managing and maintaining audience capacity.
Heat: as Brits, we’re not meant for those summer temperatures, but we made sure to check in with all members of staff, crew and suppliers – as well as audience members – to ensure everybody stayed safe on site (thank you AC!)
