The Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) has reinstated its Fallow Festival Fund for a second year, with more than 20 festival suppliers pledging support to independent festivals that have paused operations in 2026 and are planning their return in 2027.
The initiative was first introduced in 2025 following a challenging period for the independent festival sector in 2024, which saw many events forced to step back due to financial and operational pressures. The fund was created to provide practical assistance, professional expertise, and industry resources to help safeguard the future of independent festivals across the UK.
We Group is proud to be among the organisations supporting the Fallow Festival Fund, recognising its vital role in sustaining independent music festivals and ensuring their long-term survival.
“Supporting independent culture throughout the festival industry is at the heart of what we do and what we stand for as a company. Working with AIF to support independent festivals and enabling them to thrive is something we’re really proud to do – both through Nick’s work as Vice Chair of AIF and by getting behind important initiatives like the Fallow Festival Fund.”

How The We Group Is Supporting the Fund
For festivals with capacities between 5,000 and 20,000 attendees, The We Group is offering a free one-hour Advice Line consultation with a senior member of the team. This session can be tailored to each festival’s needs, focusing either on production – including technical delivery, site planning, budgeting, and infrastructure – or on compliance matters such as health and safety, licensing, SAG, and essential documentation.
Festivals with capacities below 5,000 will receive complimentary access to Event Masters, alongside structured academy programmes that provide expert-led training, professional development opportunities, and practical operational resources. These festivals will also benefit from free access to the Festival Futures training programme, as well as a 50% discount on additional courses and training materials.
In addition, participating festivals will be offered dedicated brand and marketing support through a 30-minute review session with specialist marketing consultant Addi Merrill.
Through these contributions, The We Group aims to provide meaningful, practical support that empowers independent festivals to rebuild, relaunch, and revive in 2027.
