The Fair’s director receives prestigious Night Time Ambassador Award

We are ECSTATIC to announce that our director Yasmin Galletti has won the prestigious Night Time Ambassador Award ⭐

The awards, which were given out at the NTIA ceremony in Leicester Square last night, celebrate exemplary contributions and achievements within the Night Time Industries – spotlighting individuals who have demonstrated unparalleled dedication, creativity, and positive influence in shaping the night-time landscape.

Yas was recognised for her ongoing efforts to make our industry a great space to be in – whether it be culminating new talent through The Advice Line, championing diversity as co-founder of female-led agency We Are OPS, or transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant hubs for independent festivals to take place.

Announcing her award, a member of the Gig Pig team, said: “She has spearheaded numerous large scale events across the UK, working tirelessly to ensure their success and significance. Her dedication to cultivating new talent has not only nurtured the growth of independent promoters, but has also elevated the standards of excellence within the industry. One of Yasmin’s most remarkable achievements lies in her profound impact on London’s independent music festival scene.

“Through a close collaboration with local authorities, she’s breathed life into the city’s green spaces, transforming them into vibrant hopes of creativity and culture. Her ability to forge meaningful partnerships between festival promoters and local communities has not only fostered greater understanding, but has also laid the foundation for a more inclusive and dynamic festival movement.

“But Yasmin’s influence extends far beyond the confines of the festival grounds. And as the co-founder of We Are OPS, a health and safety agency led by women, she’s championed diversity and empowerment within the industry, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future. Her dedication to promoting safety standards and best practices has set a new benchmark for excellence, ensuring the wellbeing of both attendees and staff.

“And beyond her professional endeavours, Yasmin’s passion for community and camaraderie shines through in her business. As co-captain of the Dulwich Village Ravens FC and owner of the festival Fambala, she continues to inspire others with her boundless energy and enthusiasm. In recognition of her extraordinary achievements and unwavering commitment, it is my honour to present this award to Yasmin Galletti, may her legacy continue to inspire future generations, and may her vision for a stronger, more equitable industry serve as a guiding light for us all.”

Receiving the award, Yas said: “I’ve been in love with this industry for the last 20 years, since my first flyering job. I say job… I definitely wasn’t being paid!

“But yes, since then this industry’s taught me so much. It’s taught me about friendships. It’s taught me about community, about life, freedom of expression, sense of self, and I guess all I want to say is thanks to everyone in this room who is constantly fighting for this industry every day. It’s getting harder and harder to do it, but people are still doing it. Thank you and let’s keep doing it so the next generation gets to experience the same things that we all have.”

Congratulations Yas!
