We Group UK announces investment in event budgeting platform Eventwise as part of latest expansion

We Group UK has announced a significant investment in event budgeting platform, Eventwise – as part of its ongoing efforts to support an innovative and collaborative approach across the events industry.

We Group UK – the collective providing festival and event production services via The Fair; creative production in the public-realm through We Are Placemaking; and operations, health & safety and licensing services via We Are OPS – is renowned for delivering events across the UK, Europe, US and beyond.

Events in 2024 have ranged from music festivals Eastern Electrics and Boiler Room: London, to open-air series’ for Labyrinth Events and Senbla, as well as one of just nine official Team GB Olympic fanzones for leading property company, Grosvenor. It has also been expanding its services in the US, delivering overseas shows for the likes of Boiler Room in Miami, as well as more ‘feshibition’ events such as RecFest USA, in Nashville.

The company has existing stakes in marketing agency advisory Capital A and Bristol’s independent arts centre, Lost Horizons. Now, We Group’s latest investment in new SaaS platform Eventwise serves to support accurate, controlled and financial management in the events industry.

Eventwise, which officially launched in September, serves event organisers with comprehensive, financial management tools, with the aim of empowering organisers with “precise cost-control, accuracy, and unmatched efficiency.”

While companies typically use 23 separate software tools and spreadsheets, seamless integrations with Eventbrite, Skiddle, and Xero enable companies to streamline their process when using Eventwise – positioning budgeting, forecasting, stakeholder management, approvals, and accounting in the same space, while significantly reducing costs in the process.

The platform has already proved popular amongst event organisers, with clients including Brighton & Hove Pride, Gottwood, Houghton, Noisily Festival and On The Beach Brighton to name a few.

Nick Morgan, CEO of We Group, said: “At We Group, we work with innovative, industry-leading companies, Eventwise being one of them.

“Like us, the Eventwise team really care about making the industry a better place, and their robust solutions align perfectly with our ongoing mission to support the independent sector – particularly in this difficult climate.

“We’re really excited to announce this new investment, and look forward to seeing event organisers benefit from this streamlined approach to finance.”

Chris Carter, Founder & CEO of Eventwise, said: “We Group are true leaders in the industry, and this partnership represents a significant step forward for Eventwise in our mission to transform event financial management.

“Together, we’re set to redefine how event organisers manage their finances, bringing greater efficiency, transparency, and support during these challenging times.

“We are thrilled to join forces with We Group to drive meaningful change for the better.”
