Press: The Fair to produce Jazz Cafe’s first ever festival

ICYMI: The Fair was in the press again this month, with Access All Areas Magazine announcing our production of Jazz Cafe’s first ever festival.

We are teaming up with the iconic Camden-based venue to produce ‘The Jazz Cafe Festival’, a 15,000 capacity event heading to Burgess Park in South London.

While this is the first Jazz Cafe Festival, The Fair has worked with the venue to produce Maiden Voyage – a London festival celebrating underground electronic sounds and communities from across the globe, which launched in 2019. This will take place in Burgess Park on Saturday, September 14, followed by The Jazz Cafe Festival on the same site the next day.

You can read the full announcement below, or on the Access All Areas website.

THE JAZZ CAFE TO LAUNCH FIRST FESTIVAL, WHILE LIVE NATION ALSO ANNOUNCES JAZZ-FOCUSED NEWCOMER

The team behind the Jazz Cafe, one of London’s longest standing music venues, is teaming up with production company The Fair to launch its first festival.

The 15,000-capacity The Jazz Cafe Festival will take place on Sunday 15 September at London’s Burgess Park.

Headlined by Nils Frahm, the line-up is being overseen by Ruari Frew who has booked acts including ELIZA, Earl Sweatshirt, Alchemist, Buena Vista All Stars and Gilles Petersen.

Meanwhile, promoter Marcus Weedon, whose Brockwell Live launched the 8,500-capacity summer concert series South Facing at Crystal Palace Bowl in 2021, has teamed with Live Nation to launch an edition of the series curated by hit jazz drummer Yussef Dayes.

Among the acts to play the 4 August event will be Masego, Greentea Peng and Charlotte Day Wilson. It will be hosted by Munya Chawawa.
