South London Miniteca 2026
Background
On Friday 7th August 2026, South London Miniteca made its debut in Burgess Park, bringing a brand-new, free festival to South London and celebrating the Latin American and Afro-Luso communities that call the area home.
Working with long-standing client Elixar Events Ltd, The Fair delivered the festival production for an all-ages event designed to bring music, dance, food, workshops and community activities together in one of South London’s best-known green spaces.
Families, music fans and members of the local community came together for a free programme spanning live performances, DJs, dance, workshops, food and activities.
At the heart of the programme was Buraka Som Sistema, making one of their first live appearances in almost a decade. Their performance at South London Miniteca formed part of the Portuguese-Angolan group’s 2026 return to the stage and provided a major moment for the festival’s first edition.
