Borde Hill Summer Series 2026
Background
In August 2026, The Fair worked with Supermodified to deliver the inaugural Borde Hill Summer Series, a four-day programme of outdoor live events hosted within the histori Grade II* listed Borde Hill Garden in West Sussex.
The 4-show programme opened with Nile Rodgers & CHIC, , followed by McFly and Becky Hill, before concluding with We Are Family Festival– the UK’s first all-inclusive festival for children with free fairground rides, interactive attractions, bottomless soft drinks and hourly themed parades.
The Fair was appointed to provide comprehensive festival production and event production services, from site design and production management through to procurement, scheduling, infrastructure, crowd management and traffic planning.
Our team also worked closely with We Are OPS, bringing dedicated licensing and safety expertise into the wider event delivery.
Delivery
- Full event production and production management across all four days of the Borde Hill Summer Series.
- Crowd management and traffic management planning appropriate for audiences of up to 10,000.
- Operational planning for four consecutive event days with significantly different audience profiles, from major live music audiences through to families and younger children.
- Close collaboration with We Are OPS across licensing, event safety planning, risk assessments, SAG liaison, authority liaison, emergency planning, safety documentation and on-site health and safety support.
- Ongoing adaptation to the demands of the heatwave, dry ground conditions and dust throughout the build and event period.
Results
- Successfully established the production and infrastructure framework for the first Borde Hill Summer Series at a new outdoor event site.
- Delivered four consecutive event days with significantly different programmes and audience requirements.
- Transitioned the event environment from three large-scale live music shows into a family-focused final day incorporating fairground rides, attractions and entertainment.
