Background

From the team behind Cirque Du Soul, El Dorado Festival is an enchanting music festival held on the grounds of Eastnor Castle, Ledbury.

Taking place since 2016, the event has grown in capacity from 3,000 capacity to 7000 people camping in 2023.

The 2023 line-up features a diverse lineup of acts including KC and the Sunshine Band, Sampa the Great, Folamore and many more.

Lightning Show Stops: Storm forecasts prompted the activation of our Severe Weather Lightning Plan – a well-defined protocol which, up until this festival, had not been required to activate. Frequency of strikes and proximity to the site led to two show stops throughout the weekend.
Weather Impact on Derig: Adverse weather affected both the event and the break of the event, leading to delays and logistical hurdles during the derig.
Complex Site Setup: Elaborate installations, technical requirements and site size posed operational and logistical challenges, including the well-being space which was new to the festival that year.

Lightning Show Stop management: The Fair and We Are OPS coordinated two show stops, sending varying communications depending on the area of the site to ensure everybody remained safe. and keeping show stop time to a minimum.
Site Redesign: A major site redesign included relocating the General Admission Camping, public live-in area and access route, boutique area and staff camping. This move optimised site layout for improved flow and access for attendees, enhancing their overall experience.
Brand new wellness area: Successful installation of this new area which sold out across the three-days.
Other services included: Supplier procurement and management; build, live, and break production management; CAD site design and planning; health and safety auditing and management; SAG attendance; stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management - pre, live, and post-show.
