Eastern Electrics & Maiden Voyage 2022

Background

Longstanding London-based electronic music festival Eastern Electrics celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2022. Established in 2010, EE held its first one-day festival in Greenwich Peninsular. It has since moved from various locations across London and recently resides at Lee Valley Showground, Waltham Abbey. In 2019, the popular North London venue Jazz Café curated Maiden Voyage festival (MV) to explore the extensive sounds of Jazz, House, Hip-hop and Techno. Providing highly successful among music enthusiasts, MV is a staple in the day festival calendar.

Challenge

This was our second year at Lee Valley Showground, and having worked with the site for two years, The Fair has developed a strong working relationship with the landowners, council and local stakeholders. The overhead power lines, pylons and being surrounded by canals always bring challenges. As a result, we work with multiple agencies to ensure the safety of staff and attendees to comply with guidance set by HSE.
