THE FAIR CONTRIBUTES TO THE GOOD EVENTS GUIDE
GL Events have released their new ‘Good Events Guide’ which this time focuses on the importance of sustainability. The guide offers support to event organisers including case studies and tips for a greener and more sustainable approach when it comes to producing events.
Our very own Nick Morgan has contributed to the guide, he discusses how consumers’ expectations of sustainability are changing for the better and how we as an industry have the responsibility to meet these needs.
A LACK OF THE CLONES
UK event suppliers are already sought after worldwide, but few festival organisers have successfully replicated their events in new climbs. Could this be about to change?

The issue of local knowledge cannot be underestimated, according to The Fair CEO Nick Morgan. “There can be a lot of unknowns when brands try to run their show themselves abroad. They often don’t work simply due to lack of knowledge of the local economy, audience, logistics and production etc.”
WE ARE THE FAIR – ON THE FUTURE OF THE FESTIVAL
The Festival and Outdoor Show (Festout) will be coming to Sandown Park from 26-27 September this year. Event production agency We Are The Fair will be among those in attendance. The Fair delivers everything from site management and security to health and safety, and will be showcasing their services at the show.
The issue of local authorities is one that is close to The Fair’s heart, and which CEO Nick Morgan has touched upon previously:

What can be done about the challenges Borough Councils and government cause for festivals and events?
Good data is crucial. That’s why we at The Fair are working with organisations including Mash Media and the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) to enter the process of sourcing data for local councils, authorities and borough councils to champion the sector.
